[tv schedule] We Are Saying "Eeexxxceeeellent" and Tapping Our Fingers Together Ominously

Do you know why, Fangasmic fans? Because some of our favourite TV shows are finally coming back!

Obviously everyone has been very excited about Doctor Who coming back. If you haven't tried the new Who yet, you've got 43 days to catch up!

That doesn't sound like much, but the seasons are short, action packed, and full of surprises. We think you'll really enjoy it if you give it a chance. For those of you who have already been watching it and reading our coverage, fine: I admit it. Matt Smith grew on me. He's no David Tennant, but I'm enjoying him now.

Leverage is hands down our favourite heist show. Are there other heist shows? Who cares? It's light hearted and funny and the cast is absolutely brilliant. If you liked Ocean's 11 and 13 and have always wished there was a heist movie but as a tv show, why the hell haven't you been watching Leverage?

It's basically a modern day Robin Hood with the added bonus of Parker. (Guess which one Parker is in this photo. Go ahead. Guess.) And everything (okay, almost everything) is done for justice. I mean sure, sometimes I just like adding "for justice" to the ends of my sentences, but in this case it's actually accurate, unlike when I send horrible manips to the other FG staff members with misleading email subject lines so they might open them at work.

And finally, if you're a fan of things that actually pass the Bechdel Test (at least most of the time), Rizzoli & Isles has been picked up for a second season and returns to our tvs for 10 episodes this summer.

You might like Rizzoli & Isles if you've always wanted to read a Star Trek contemporary femmeslash AU. If you don't believe me, check out this picture which, fine, is edited from the promo photos and is technically fanart or a manip but is moderately accurate to the series. But believe me, the show is actually enjoyable even without the undercurrent of femmeslash. You'll probably like it.

There you go, guys. And don't give me the excuse of having too many shows to watch already - we all know summer tv is a barren waste land of re-runs. You'll have the time.
