Calling all ironic, mid-20s females who overidentified with Mean Girls when it came out in 2004, and everybody who applies the brilliance of its one-offs to delights like macros, more macros, and also, no joke, a fuckton of macros -- it is time.

* Looking for Asian-American and Latin-American actors for very featured bit
roles.

About MEAN GIRLS 2: MEAN GIRLS 2 will be directed by the talented and
accomplished Melanie Mayron .

Melanie Mayron won an Emmy for her role on the groundbreaking ABC drama
thirtysomething. She has starred and co-starred in feature films, most notably
Claudia Weill's Girlfriends , for which she won the Best Actress Award at the
Locarno Film Festival in Switzerland and was nominated for a British Academy
Award for Best Newcomer. She was seen in Costa Gavras' Missing along with Jack
Lemmon and Sissy Spacek. She has forged an additional career as a director in
movies and television, directing features like The Babysitter's Club and Slap
Her She's French, as well as several made-for-TV movies and many episodic
shows, including thirtysomething , Dawson's Creek, The Larry Sanders Show,
Arliss, 90210, Lipstick Jungle, and Greek. She directed the pilot of State of
Grace for ABC Family. Melanie was nominated for a Directors Guild Award for
ABC's movie, Toothless, starring Kirstie Alley and Lynn Redgrave. Recently
she has directed episodes of Cynthia Mort's critically acclaimed HBO series,
Tell Me You Love Me, as well as, numerous episodes of the equally prestigious

Synopsis of MEAN GIRLS 2 : The story revolves around a new high school
student, Jo, who agrees to befriend an outcast, Abby, at the urging of Abby's
wealthy father in exchange for paying all of Jo's costs for the college of
her dreams. Jo and Abby team up to take on the school's "mean girls," the
Plastics. The story becomes a high stakes battle of loyalty that ultimately
comes to a head when one of our heroines finds out that her friendship has
been bought and paid for.

More importantly, DO YOU THINK THERE WILL BE A SCENE WHERE JO IS LIKE, "IT STARTED OFF AS A MONEY THING BUT THEN SOMEWHERE ALONG THE WAY I FELL IN LOVE WITH YOU?" NO? CAN I DREAM? IS SOMEONE ALREADY WRITING THE J2 AU VERSION?

In further evidence to support my ideas about Mean Girls 2, the director also directed Slap Her She's French!/She Gets What She Wants where Piper Perabo is a manipulative fake French exchange student- but there is totally a subplot where the main girl's best girlfriends hook up and then are like UHHHH. (I was all NO WAY IS THIS REALLY AIRING ON ABC FAMILY I LOVE MY LIFE.)
